Frequently Asked Questions: Coffee Brewing Workshops

Which courses are suitable for beginners? 

For those who are new to specialty coffee, we recommend starting with our Specialty Coffee Theory course. In this 1.5-hour class, participants will gain an introductory understanding of speciality coffee and the differences between the various types of speciality coffees.

If you already have a basic understanding of specialty coffee, we recommend attending our Coffee Extraction Fundamentals course. This is a 2-hour class to learn how coffee extraction works and what goes into making a quality cup of coffee.

Which courses are suitable for me if I already have some knowledge and/or prior experience?

If you already have prior experience, then our intermediate-level courses may be more suitable for you. The descriptions of these courses are set out below:

What do I need to prepare leading up to my course?

All courses include coffee materials provided by us. Attendees just need to show up prepared to learn! Make sure to arrive on time to make the most of the educational experience.

Are there any prerequisites for taking these courses? 

Yes. There are prerequisite for some of the courses.

Please note that before our attending our intermediate/advanced 201 level courses, all 101 basic modules first must be completed: 

Students with prior experience will be considered separately.

Can I reschedule my classes?

Yes, you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your next class. Please note that we require all participants to complete all individual modules within 30 days from the original date of booking to ensure that each student is able to retain their learning effectively and to keep our standards high.
